Last year was a busy one for the Rebuilding America initiative.  Through field events, advertisements, and meetings around the country, Rebuilding America grew to over 100 partners representing business, labor, manufacturing, real estate, and contracting and became recognized as a leading voice of the commercial building energy efficiency sector.  Click here to see more of what we did in 2010.

Looking ahead, we see opportunities to continue to grow the Rebuilding America initiative.  We see opportunities to work with Congress on commercial building energy efficiency by improving existing tax incentives such as the Energy Efficient Commercial Building Tax Deduction, investment tax credits, and depreciation schedules to refocus them on the economic opportunity of commercial building retrofits.   We will pursue market reforms that motivate utilities, building owners, and financial institutions to treat building efficiency retrofits as a major business opportunity.   Finally, we will start to tap the huge potential of Rebuilding America’s local network of companies, affiliates and partners.
