On September 30, 2010, Senators Jeff Bingaman (D-NM) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME) introduced a bipartisan set of tax incentives designed to spur energy efficiency and clean energy in the United States. The Advanced Energy Tax Incentives Act of 2010 (S.3935) contains provisions designed to bolster the residential, commercial, industrial, and vehicle energy efficiency sectors, as well as to encourage renewable electricity and transmission grid efficiency and reliability.
